The Ashes Cricket series is one of the most hotly contested cricket tournaments in the world. This year England and Australia are going head to head in Brisbane. I'm curious to find out which apps cricket fans are using to follow to action or watch it live on their phones and tablets.

    ESPNcricinfo - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.july.cricinfo

This is possibly the most popular cricket app for the Android operating system. Get live scores and results from all the Ashes series on your phone or tablet. You can also setup instant alerts that will tell you when either England or Australia have scored a wicket or a batsman has reached a milestone. There is a comprehensive news section and a podcast section where each of the games are discussed in detail.

    iCricket Scores - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kuchbi.icricket&hl=en

This is a really nice native Cricket app for Android that features live scores from The Ashes, profiles of both the Australian and English teams, scorecards, video replays and more.

    SkySports for iPad - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/sky-sports-for-ipad/id477140057

Sky Sports have the broadcast rights for The Ashes in the United Kingdom and Ireland, so if you already have a SkySports subscription and you want to watch the games at work or on the move, then the SkySports for iPad app is a must. Unfortunately, they do not have an Android version at present.
