At the beginning of 2015 Unibet took the unusual decision to leave the Microgaming Poker and develop their own Unibet poker network and client. This is unusual because most online sportsbooks are happy to leave the tricky business of developing a poker client to major networks. Unibet believed that recreational players weren't well catered for by large poker networks so they decided to start from scratch and develop their own iOS and Android poker software. The results was a real-money poker app with fun graphics and challenges that would cater to the recreational poker player. The biggest criticism we had was the poker app was only available on Android and iOS tablets. If you owned an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S phone then you were out of luck.

The good news is it looks like Unibet are finally going to bring mobile poker to iOS/Android smartphones. Unibet Poker 2.0 for iPhone and Android will be available from October 2016 and will offer the following features...
    • Compete in Sit N Go's, MTT's and cash games on your smartphone.
    • Change your identity up to 3 times a day to avoid poker sharks.
    • Unibet Tiles will make multi-table play much easier on phones and tablets.
    • A hand history replayer will let you rewind the clock to see your successes or failures.
    • "Hall of Fame" stats will keep track of the biggest pots you've ever competed for and the biggest tournament wins of your playing career.
Overall the graphics, lobby and entire player experience has been improved greatly in this new version.

No, Unibet are licensed and regulated in several european countries so they are unable to service US poker player. If you want to play poker on your smartphone in America, you'll find the most up-to-date list of US friendly poker sites here http://www.androidbettingapps.com/poker.html
