Facebook have been eager to to find new ways to make money from their social network. One of the avenues they are exploring is real money gambling and this week for the first time they'll be offering live sports betting following a link up with Irish bookmakers Paddy Power. Paddy Power are initially trialling the new technology with over 2,500 of their customers on Facebook. The program will be rolled out across the UK over the coming weeks. Initially social betting will only be available via the Facebook website, although the feature will also be added to their Blackberry, Android, iOS and Windows Phone apps in the near future. Paddy Power are working to extend Facebook live sports betting to other countries, particularly those in Europe. Other users won't be able to see how much you are staking or winning, although they will be able to see who you are betting on and even challenge you to make a bet on a specific sporting event. http://www.independent.ie/business/...-with-facebook-for-live-betting-29542319.html Do you live in the United Kingdom?
