Online gambling sites seem to have gotten the bitcoin bug recently. U.S. friendly sportsbooks and poker rooms like Bovada, 5Dimes, Carbon Poker and BetOnline all accept bitcoin now. There is no doubt that these established betting sites are starting to feel the heat from bitcoin bookmakers like Nitrogen Sports and BetCoin. Gamblers in the United States can now choose between a regular internet bookie and all the hassle that that entails or a bitcoin sportsbook who will offer them lower processing fees and instant withdrawals.

There can be little doubt that major operators are seeing their player base being eroded by these new bitcoin gambling sites so I wasn't surprised to read that Bovada and Bodog were now accepting bitcoin. However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn the following 2 facts...
    1. Here will be 0% deposit free when you use bitcoin
    2. You can create an anonymous account and start betting instantly.
Most online sportsbooks that start accepting bitcoin from the U.S. player still force them to go through a KYC process and there's still usually a deposit processing fee. By offering these two options Bovada are taking the game to the bitcoin gambling operators and saying that whatever you guys do, we can do just as well. It remains to be seen if they're right.

If you use a bitcoin wallet like Mycelium for Android and iOS you won't have to follow any KYC process.

What fee do Bovada charge to process your bitcoin payout and how long does it take?

You can deposit or make a withdrawal at Bovada and Bodog for free. An the best thing is you don't have to wait a couple of weeks to receive you bank wire or check. Typically BTC withdrawals take 2 to 3 days at Bovada.

If you have visited the Bovada website recently you might have noticed that Poker is no longer an option there. Apparently for legal reasons they had to close their US facing online poker room but the good news is all the players have simply moved over to a sister site called Ignition. Here's a full review of this bitcoin friendly U.S. poker site
