Can I watch football or soccer live on my smartphone?

Hi Guys, a friend recently turned me onto this ESPN Goals app that shows goals from the Barclays Premier League in the United Kingdom. I was wondering if any of the bookmaker apps stream any full soccer games? I know they stream horse races so I don't mind placing a smaller wager if it allows me to access the a live stream.

    Hey Stevo

I did find this list of sports streaming apps that is quiet good

Yes, you can watch live streams of football games from around the globe for free on your Droid. With the "Footaball Stream App" you can watch live games from FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifying, Champions League, Major League Soccer, FA Cup, Scottish Premier League, English Premier League,Spanish League - La Liga ,Copa del Rey, German Bundesliga and more -

These live streams are available on any type of phone or tablet, including iPhone, Samsung and Nokia Lumia.

Bet365 stream a wide variety of sports, including these football leagues and competitions: Champions League Qualifiers, Copa Libertadores, Europa League, Portugal's Super Liga, Russian Premier League, MLS, J League, Chinese Super League. They also provide audio commentary of most English Premier League games for free.

The FilmOn app also allows you to watch over 200 channels from the United Kingdom, United States, Italy, France, Latin America, Middle East and more on your Android or iOS phone for free. I'm sure some of these channels will be broadcasting live football games. you can download the app for free from

It is also worth noting that Bet365 Mobile stream thousands of sporting events via their website and mobile apps every year, including football, badminton, tennis, darts, rugby basketball and more. The best thing is you don't even need to make a bet in order to view the live streams. Bet365 just require users to have a funded account, so all you need to do is deposit a couple of euros or pounds and you can watch as much sports as you like on your iPhone, iPad or Android. For full details visit their site. Unfortunately, they do not accept players from the United States of America.

The "Football Stream App" listed above appears to have been removed from Google Play. Rupert Murdoch and his mates probably has it banned. There is another one thought that works pretty well

Apparently it covers most of the main leagues, including the English Premier league, Spanish la liga, Italian serie A, champions league, french Ligue1, Scottish premier league, FIFA World Cup 2014, African Cup of Nations, FA Cup, Uefa Super Cup etc.

Yes, this app called Watch Football Live Streaming is free and works great on just about any recent Samsung phone, including the Galaxy Series.

It also allows you to watch live video of soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, rugby and tons of other sports for free. You do need to have Flash installed on your Droid though.

Thanks for the link Kicking King. That apps works great on Android devices for soccer and a broad range of sports streaming. Does anyone know of a HTML5 live video app that does not require users to have Flash installed on their devices.

I'm surprised that Sky Sports have not forced Google Play to remove this app from their app market. Why would you bother forking out £££ every month to use the official Sky Sports app when you can watch every major game live via this free app? The quality of the picture can sometimes be a little blurry but overall it's great.

I use an LG G2 for my phone but I still use an iPad because I think it's still the best tablet. Like Jamie I wish there was an app like Watch Football Live Streaming for the iOS that would stream the games in HTML5 rather than Flash so they would play on the iPhone and iPad.

Sadly the app appears to have been removed from Google Play now :-( Does anyone know of a similar app that offers live video feeds of soccer, football, basketball and other games?

Even though the last sports streaming app was removed, the same company has managed to get a very similar app listed on Google Play here

Again this app offers live video streams of Sky Sports, ESPN and every other major sports broadcaster for free. Besides offering streams of soccer games from the Bundesliga, English and Scottish Premier Leagues, Serie A, FA Cup and the Champions League, sports apps can also watch tennis, basketball, Ice Hocky, MLS, Moto GP, baseball, Formula One and more.

Bummer, that link appears to be dead now as well. Can anyone suggest any other live streaming options? Are there are web apps that won't keep getting removed from Google Play?

Everyone who has an account with Bet365 Mobile can now watch La Liga games for free via their Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows Phone compatible apps. Bet365 will be broadcasting every name that is now already being show live on SkySports. If you're a fan of Barcelona FC or Real Madrid then you should check the schedule to see when your team is playing again

For instance, over the next few weeks you can watch any of the following games on your Samsung Galaxy, iPhone or Nokia Lumia for free: Elche v Levante, Getafe v Malaga, Real Betis v Real Sociedad, Espanyol v Almeria, Valencia v Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao v Sevilla or Celta Vigo v Real Valladolid

Will SkyBet be live streaming Spanish La Liga games for free again this year?

Does anyone know if they plan to also beam Premier League games to their iPhone or Android apps?

Ladbrokes have begun streaming live football games from Italy (Serie A), European Championship Qualifiers and South American soccer leagues in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and others. You can watch the games on your PC, tablet or smartphone providing you've registered an account with Ladbrokes. The streams are free and they don't expect you to place a bet
