Well the National Football League kicks off again this Wednesday 5th September 2012 when defending Super Bowl Champions the New York Giants take on the visiting Dallas Cowboys. To mark the occasion, what are the best sports betting, scores, live streaming news etc app available today for Android phones and tablets? I'd prefer the apps to be free but I don't mind paying a few bucks for a really good app.

If you live in the United States the official NFL Game Rewind app is really good for NFL anoraks. There is a one of charge for the season of $34.99 which allows you to watch replays of every game in the NFL. There are also highlights of games if you don't have the time or the inclination to sit through full games.

The only downside is the app isn't available for every android tablet so you better check first before you hand over your dollars. Here is a link

For me it has to be the Watch ESPN app because it allows me to watch Monday Night Football on my Samsung when I'm supposed to be working :) If you've already got a cable subscription with one of the major networks like Comcast, Verizon or Time Warner then it's not going to cost you a dime.

I really hoping my beloved San Francisco 49ers get the better of the New York Giants tonight. Should be a great game!!

The NFL have teamed up with Verizon to deliver an official NFL Mobile app and I have to say it is one of the worst pieces of crap I have ever used. It doesn't work on ANY android tablet and I can't get it to launch on my Samsung phone either.

This used to be my favorite NFL app but now it's a buggy piece of shlt!! If anyone from the NFL or Verizon is readying this PLEASE FIX THE APP!!!!

i like the yahoo fantasy football league apps. i used to create my own teams online but now that there's mobile products for droid tablets and phones it makes it way more fun. the apps deliver real-time results and stats so you can see now well your team is performing.

The ESPN Sportscenter app is probably the most popular sports results app on both iOS and Android devices. I use it to follow the NFL because you can configure it to follow your favourite teams. For instance when there is any news on my team, the San Francisco 49ers, I get an alert on my phone within seconds.

The NFL 2014 season kicks off in a few weeks with the defending Super Bowl Champions the Seattle Seahawks hosting the Green Bay Packers. Anyone know of any good NFL betting or free live streaming apps for the new season?

What are the best NFL social betting apps? If you'd prefer just to wager against your friends and not involve bookmakers. I presume these are legal in the US seeing as you're not gambling real money.

For peer-to-peer mobile betting on US sports we would recommend the Gamblino app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamblino.gamblino

You can create your own pools and contests while the app provides live odds on NFL football, NCAA football, NHL hockey, MLB baseball and NCAA basketball. The Gamblino app is free to use on both iOS and Android devices.

Both FanDuel and DraftKings now both have their betting apps available for download from Google Play. Which one would you guys recommend for mobile betting on the NFL?

I think both fantasy gambling apps offer a very similar service so I guess it just comes down to which one you prefer. Personally I think the user interface of the DraftKings app is better so I use that but some of my friends disagree.

This year it's the turn of Fox Broadcasting to live stream Super Bowl 2017 to mobile devices. The free live Super Bowl 51 stream can be accessed from Roku, Chromecast, Xbox, Amazon Fire and tablets running iOS, Android or Windows Phone.
