So what are you guys favourite poker app for Androids? Personally I really like the Bwin app because I think the automatic hand evaluation feature really help beginner players like me. It's quiet busy also so there is always plenty of action day or night.

    UPDATE (OCTOBER 2016)

Bovada has been forced to close its popular U.S. friendly online poker room. Thankfully Bovada only moved their poker room to a new domain called Ignition Poker, which is part of the same network and offers the same client/app/

From a functionality point of view I think the Switch Poker app have the edge over the rest because it allows you to multitable. For me this is the most important feature of any mobile poker client. Pity there isn't more players on the network.

Alternatively, I tend to do most of my mobile poker playing at Bwin. It's a solid Texas Hold'em apps and the tables are always busy, day or night.

My favourite so far has been the Unibet app. It's a native app that you need to install. I think they work a little better and run a little smoother than the web apps. I like the Unibet app because the low stakes games are usually pretty busy and there isn't too many sharks. I'm not the greatest texas hold'em player in the world but even I can hold my own at the mico stakes.

I'm looking forward to trying a few other so any recommendations would be great.

I can't say I have a firm favourite just yet. Each of the poker apps I've used have had plus points and negative points. I still waiting for a killer poker app to come along that will make me go WOW!

Up until a could of weeks ago I would have said it was mFortune because the play is so loose there it's like taking candy from a baby. Since Terminal Poker have introduced daily mobile tournaments I find myself spending more and more time playing at their tables.

I'm loving the new 888 poker app. They've got a much larger player base than either Terminal Poker or mFortune and you can also take part in Sit n Go's tournaments. It's got it's flaws but it's definitely a great first effort.

It doesn't appear to be a popular choice but I really like the mFortune Texas Hold'em app. The graphics are a little cartoony, the poker network isn't as Bwin's and it doesn't support Multi Table Tournaments like 888, but here is why I like playing at mFortune...
    1. It is only only mobile poker room that allows you to create private tables. I much prefer to play against friends or work colleagues than strangers
    2. It is the only poker app to support BlackBerry's. Some of my friends still use Blackberrys so I'm able to play against those friends if I want to.
    3. Extremely generous reload bonuses
I just wish they'd add freerolls and tournaments :)

I'm really looking forward to this new Carbon Poker app because we'll finally have a poker app that accepts players from the United States.

Yes, I can't wait for Carbon Poker to release their app. I've always found United States poker rooms to have more poker fish than any other. I suspect U.S. friendly poker apps will be even softer because they will attract so many recreational players.

Carbon Poker have given all their players open access to the app now. It's not a final release version so it's still got a few glitches but you can find out how to install it HERE

PKR without a shadow of a doubt. The 3D graphics are stunning and it's extremely fishy. The only problem is it is currently only available for the iPhone and iPad but I'm sure an Android version will be released shortly.

Both 888 and mFortune offer no deposit bonuses so they get my vote.

888 is an online poker giant so you'll find action at all levels, both day or night, whether you're playing online or on a mobile phone. Their app is one of the few to offers Texas Hold'em cash games, Sit & Go tournaments and Mutil-table tournaments.

mFortune might not have as big a player base as 888, but since it was originally a mobile casino the standard of play is extremely poor. There are more poker fish at the mFortune tables than anywhere else. When you find some soft competition at your table, their app allows you to tag that player and search for them again in future sessions. Their poker software works on Windows Phone, Blackberry, Android, iOS and just about any type of handset you can think off, so you have the option to play against any of your mates, even if they don't own the same kind of phone or tablet as you.

If you are based in the United States then your only option right now is Carbon PokerThis is a web based app that you can play from your devices Safari, Chrome or Firefox browser. Once you have created a new account with Carbon, just switch on your smartphone or tablet and visit their mobile site to login and start play for real money in the USA.

Since Carbon Poker have added Sit and Go tournaments it is now my favorite mobile poker room. I used to quiet enjoy playing at 888 but the competition is much softer at Carbon because they permit players from the USA.

I really like the new Unibet poker app for tablets (iOS/Android). It's definitely not for the serious gambler but if you're after a few casual games on a fun platform then it's a great option.

I'm a huge fan of the Unitebet mobile poker app too. Anytime I play poker on my tablet it's just for fun so I really enjoy the graphics and the different challenges.

If you're a fan of bitcoin gambling you can now play real money poker on your Android or iPhone with the Nitrogen Sports mobile client. Besides Omaha and Texas Hold'em ring games you can also compete in freeroll, MTT's plus Sit and Go tournaments. It's not the busiest of mobile poker sites but Nitrogen sportsbook is getting increasingly popular so I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot more poker traffic soon.

Carbon Poker was my favorite poker app until they stopped accepting US players. I'm too nervous to deposit money there now because it looks like they're going to go out of business.
