Now that England have been knocked out of the Euro 2012's I've pretty much lost interest in football and have switched my focus onto the Wimbledon tennis tournament. I don't think us English will have much more luck here, unless Andy Murray pulls it out of the bag, but I do think that tennis is my favorite sports to watch on the TV. Maybe it's because it reminds me of long hot summer holidays spend watching and playing tennis Boris Becker, John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova and Martina Hingis are just a few names that spring to mind. Sadly I don't have 2 months holidays anymore where I can sit back and watch tennis all day. These days I have to works so I can't sit in front of the telly for weeks on end. I do own a smartphone so I was wondering if there are any good free apps that will allow me to watch a few sneaky sets at work when I can? Also, which of the sports betting apps offer the best odds on the Wimbledon tennis tournament? Are there any exclusive mobile betting offers?
I've been watching most of the Wimbledon tennis games on my HTC One V droid for the past few days via the Bet365 app. To watch any of their live sporting streams from an android, iphone or ipad mobile device, you just need to have an account that is funded or have placed a bet in the previous 24 hours. That's a pretty good deal in my opinion because you don't even need to gamble. You can just open an account, stick a couple of quid in and watch as much sports on your smartphone as you like. A must have app if you want to watch Wimbledon tennis on any smartphone or tablet.
My vote goes to Paddy Power. You can watch all the Wimbledon games via their Paddy Power TV but they are also offering a men's Wimbledon money-back special. If you place a bet from your smartphone or PC on a men's singles tournament match and he loses in 5 sets, Paddy Power will refund your losing bet. I checked both the BetVictor and William Hill sites and they don't appear to offering any other kind of special Wimbledon tennis betting offers.
The FilmOn android app is great for watching live television on your smartphone. There are live streams of all the main UK tv channels (ITV, BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5). BBC are covering the Wimbledon tennis tournament this year so I've been watching most of the games via the free BBC stream. The FilmOn app also streams a number of sports channels from around the world, some of which are broadcasting Wimbledon. I like to watch the BBC stream because they have John McEnroe commentating who is great. He tells some wonderful anecdotes from when he was a player.
Yes, as Zeta has pointed out, if you want to watch a live stream of the Wimbledon Tennis Championship on the BBC (and the French Open) you should download the free FilmOn app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ftv.america You will need to be based in the United Kingdom or Ireland to access the live BBC stream. FilmOn also broadcast hundreds of other free channels so I'm sure if you look around you'll find a free live stream for your Android or iPhone.
Bet365 will also be streaming every game from this years Wimbledon tennis tournament for free. To watch a live video stream of every Wimbledon tennis match on your iPhone, iPad or Android, you just need to have a funded account with Bet365. You DO NOT NEED to place a wager. Just deposit £1 and enjoy every game on your smartphone or tablet. Visit Bet365 Bookmaker for full details. This year defending champion Roger Federer has his eye on an eighth Wimbledon title, while Serena Williams is hot favourite in the betting from Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova.
The BBC iPlayer now streams all the BBC channels live so you could watch all of Wimbledon on your phone providing you live in the UK. I don't think the app works outside of Great Britain. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bbc.iplayer.android&hl=en
Even though this app is called FootBall live stream, it also offers live video streams major tennis tournaments https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FootBallLiveStreamAndroid Baseball, basketball, ice hockey, football and motor sports fans can also watch their favorite sports for free from their Android tablets and phones. You will require a device that supports Flash but that is pretty standard for most new devices such as the Google Nexus, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy and Motorola Moto brands.
When does the Wimbledon 2015 tennis championship kick-off and how do I watch it on my phone and tablet? Serena William will surely be favorite following her win at Roland Garros. Another final between Stan Wawrinka and Novak Djokovic would be great too.
do the bbc still own the broadcasting rights to wimblendon tennis? if they do then their iplayer app is great for live streaming whatever is on.
