I've been trying to install the Bwin apk file all morning but I keep getting "Install Blocked". Very frustrating:mad: Does anyone know why I can't install this app on my Droid? Never had a problem installing apps before.

Hhhmmm, sounds like you may need to change the permissions on your Droid to allow the install of apps that aren't from Google Play (aka Android Market). Have you installed apps from their party website like Bwin before or have you always installed from the official Google App Store?

By default most smartphones only allow users download apps from Google Play so what you need to do is go to your phones "Settings" menu and select "Applications". You should see an option then to allow the installation of non-market apps, make sure it is enabled. You will probably get a warning then about being more vulnerable to attack, just select OK. The app should now install on your phone.

That worked, thanks a lot. I'm a little confused though. I did enable Non-Android Market apps a few months back when I was installing the Paddy Power app. Somehow it seems to have gone back to the default setting again.

It's working now which is all that matters. Whoohooooo!!!

I wish Bwin and PartyPoker would release a html5 app that can be played in the browser of your tablet or phone then we wouldn't have these install issues.

They do have a HTML5 web-based version of their "FastForward: Special Edition" app which might be of interest if you're only interested in playing speed poker. If you also want to play tournaments and regular Hold'em ring games then the native app is still your only option. 888 have released a web-app so I think it is only a matter of time before PartyPoker do the same.
