Bet365 are always pushing the limits of what their mobile software can do. They were the first internet bookmaker to live stream sports via their website and mobile site. Their "Match Live" feature that provides real-time stats and graphics is also revolutionary and is already being copied by other online sportsbook sites. The latest addition to their iOS, Android and Windows Phone mobile site is "Live Match Alerts" and here's what it does.... BET365 LIVE MATCH ALERTS - WWW.BET365.COM THIS IS OUR OPINION OF THE BET365 APP Stay up to date on any tennis or soccer game. Choose specific matches, competitions or teams that you would like to be notified about. When you're following a particular football game, you will receive alerts when a goal is scored, cards are issued, penalties, sending offs, substitutions, scores etc. If you follow a particular team like Manchester United, Barcelona FA or Arsenal, you can receive updates on just that teams progress for an entire season. Tennis fans will receive alerts on chosen matches or tournaments like Wimbledon or the French Open when a match starts/finishes or when a set finishes.
what about horse racing? if there's a particular horse that i fancy, will the app remind me the next time it's running?
At present the live match alerts to mobile are specifically for tennis and football matches although we're pretty sure this will be expanded to other sports pretty soon. The good news is Bet365 run a "Nag Me" service in conjunction with Sporting Life UK that will alert you when a particular horse is running. Unfortunately, you will be alerted via email rather than via a notification on your phone. The service is free and you can sign-up here http://bet365.sportinglife.com/racing/form/nag-me With the Nag Me service you can set automatic alerts for up to 25 horses. It's invaluable for anyone who's received a tip for a race that isn't running for a few days, weeks or months. Rather than trusting your memory to remember the horses name and date, you can set-up the "Nag Me" service to send you an email alert when the race is approaching. If you see a horse running that you think has a lot of potential, you can also add that horses name to the list so that you will be notified the next time it is competing. Email alerts can be set-up for particular trainers.
will they be adding alerts for other sports besides football and tennis soon? i would have thought rugby, golf or even basketball would be more popular in the UK than tennis. except for wimbledon and the french open does anyone watch tennis?
Horse racing punters can set-up alerts to notify them when certain horses or jockeys they fancy are running so they can lay a bet. For other sports like basketball or rugby you can always get detailed stats on games by visiting the in-play betting section of the app. Their you'll find tons of detailed information on who has had the most possessions, fouls, red cards, sendings off, scores and everything else you might need to place an educated bet from you iPhone, Microsoft Lumia or HTC Android.
do bet365 have an app for the apple watch or samsung galaxy gear? i would imagine checking updates on my watch but i'm not going to take my smartphone out of my pocket every couple of minutes when there's an update.
No they don't. While Unibet, William Hill, Coral and Ladbrokes Australia have all released sports betting apps for Apple Watch, Bet365 have not. I guess not enough people own wearable devices right now to justify the development costs.
Will they alert you when they are streaming a particular sport? For instance, they stream some La Liga games occasionally. Can I set-up an alert to notify me if they are streaming a Barcelona FC game?
No, I don't think so because the live streaming schedule differs from country to country. Many regions have broadcast blackouts for particular sporting events so it would probably be too complicated to keep everyone updated about their region.
